Stray doesn't collect, store, or transmit your financial data. Your bank statement never leaves your device. We built it that way on purpose.
Stray analyzes bank statement CSV files to find recurring subscriptions. All processing happens locally in your browser using client-side code. No data is sent to any server.
Your financial data: Nothing. Zero. Your CSV file is processed entirely in your browser and is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored anywhere.
Analytics: We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that:
Plausible collects anonymous, aggregate data only — page views, referral sources, browser type, and country. No individual users are identified.
Email (waitlist): If you choose to join our waitlist, we collect your email address. We use it only to notify you when Stray launches. We will never sell or share your email. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Stray uses no cookies. None.
We do not share any data with third parties. The only external service is Plausible Analytics, which does not have access to any personal or financial data.
